Hello Darlings, 

I love the gym, but I also have a lot going on and sometimes I can't get there as often as I'd like, that's where technology comes in handy. With technology today there is absolutely no reason we can't stay healthy and not only that but track our progress! 



Here are a few tools to help you stay fit without the gym:

MyFitnessPal. This FREE app allows you to track your food and calories quickly. They share recipes, workouts, and guilt-free cheat meals regularly. I've been using it about three years now and no complaints here! You're also able to input your workouts to see how many calories you've burned and it will update your calorie intake to reflect your workout. I love it! 

Runtastic. This is a great FREE app for runners, walkers or for people who have very active jobs and want to track how many miles they walk in a day. What's also great about this is it will sync to MyFitnessPal and input your workout for you, so you don't have to do a darn thing! 

Mealtime. This is an amazing dinner prep app that I like to use to get meal ideas. The initial cost is free but in order to keep using the app you have to upgrade. I think once you use it you'll find it's totally worth it. You pick from a catalog of meals for the entire week based off of your preferences. Once your meals are picked, it will generate a grocery list for you. They also give you the recipe to make it easily at home and most of the meals take under 30 minutes! It's absolutely fantastic. 

There are so many different possibilities out there and what doesn't work for you may work for someone else and vice versa. These are my go-to apps that I have on my phone and I've been using them for years! It makes life a lot easier to stay healthy and eliminates time wasted in the long run. I highly suggest trying these out, plus they're free and it can't hurt. 





Brunch with the Besties

Hello Darlings, 

I know what your'e thinking... Brunch? Really is that a "Healthy Lifestyle" topic, my answer to you is YES! I believe in a well-rounded way of living, if you've seen my Insta you know that as much as I think eating clean and exercise is important, so is your sanity. I'm a fairly new mother, a wife, and I work. It's not easy to unwind and most days it's bedtime before I've had a chance to sit down. With that being said, sometimes you just gotta brunch it out. 

Take a Saturday morning, leave the kids at home and get together with your tribe. Make dressing up a must, and get a reservation at a cute cafe. San Diego is such a perfect city for foodies and we never run out of new places to try. 

This month it was PrepKitchen in Little Italy. Ahh-Mazing food ( I highly recommend the breakfast potatoes), their fruit came fresh from the farmers market that was going on in the street that day. We had so many mimosas... okay too many mimosas... but not enough mimosas, and it was fabulous. 

We ended the brunch with a stroll down the street, to our favorite coffeeshop, Heartsleeves. If you live in San Diego, and you've never been to Heartsleeves you're doing yourself a real disservice. GO TO HEARTSLEEVES, and get The Duchess, you will not be disappointed. It's an alice in wonderland themed oasis with the best drinks in town. We sipped our coffee bayside in the perfect sunny and 75 degree weather.  We took an Uber home, because don't drink and drive, and ended the perfect afternoon. 

Do yourself a favor and relax with friends, make yourself a priority! Schedule a time when you can do you boo-boo and actually do it, we all deserve some "me" time!
